In celebration of World’s Ocean Day, we are proud to release a compilation of ocean-inspired pieces encapsulating the life and breath of the great unknown. Our composers have brought their own sonic interpretations to this album, capturing different aspects of the oceans, from tidal waves to majestic trenches.
The Open Oceans are the World’s Largest Ecosystem.
Traversed by whales, sharks, turtles, tuna and albatross and home to mysterious deep-sea creatures, these are the true wilds of our planet. There are known to be more than 260,000 different species living in the seas, and we know that there are many yet to be discovered. Some scientists believe there are more than a million species in the seas, though human activity is driving some to extinction before we have had a chance to study them. (Read More)
